Ear Reshaping (Otoplasty)
Aim
Makes ears which stick out and cause embarrassment lie closer to the side of the head.
Incision on the back of the ear flap, then the 'spring' of the gristle of the ear is weakened and it is formed into a new, flatter shape.
Bruising
The ears will be quite bruised for about 10 days.
Swelling
Usually confined to the ears only.
Scarring
Insignificant scars in the fold behind the ears.
Recovery
10 days or so.
Final Result Visible
About 2 months and permanent.
