Aim
Makes the upper lip full if it is thin. In older patients it can be done a few months before dermabrasion of the upper lip and can be very rejuvenating.
How
A strip of skin is taken away from above the lip so that the lips upper border is raised and rolled upwards and outwards.
Bruising / Swelling
Usually slight/moderate.
Scarring
A scar line runs along the top of the lip. It is normally disguised with lipstick.
Recovery
A few days.
Final Result Visible
When the scar fades at six months or so and is permanent.

Reduces the fullness of the lips.
